How you'll make impact

You’ll lead the team building and evolving Airwallex’s core identity and organization foundations, including user onboarding, authentication, access control, organization modelling, account ownership and org-level workflows.

Set the technical direction for highly available, scalable and secure identity systems that every Airwallex product can depend on.

Partner closely with Product, Design, Risk, Compliance, Onboarding and Engineering teams to deliver trusted IAM capabilities and solve complex platform problems.

Raise the bar on engineering excellence, including code quality, system design, performance, reliability and security, while supporting the team’s growth and delivery.

Use data to measure system and product effectiveness, identify opportunities for optimisation and guide decisions that create long-term value.

Build intuitive identity and access-management solutions that meet customer security needs without compromising usability.

What we're looking for

Essentials

Significant experience in software development, with a strong focus on high availability, access control, authentication and authorisation, or identity management.

Experience leading and developing engineers while maintaining high standards for technical execution and engineering quality.

Strong technical judgement and the ability to design and deliver robust, secure and scalable systems.

A strategic, forward-looking approach, with the ability to make decisions that create long-term value for the business and technology landscape.

A customer-focused mindset and an understanding of how to build intuitive identity and access-management solutions without compromising security.

A data-driven and analytical approach to measuring system and product effectiveness and identifying opportunities for optimisation.

Experience working collaboratively with product managers, designers and engineers across functions and regions.

The Organization & Identity team is responsible for building and evolving Airwallex's core identity and organization foundations, covering user onboarding, authentication and access control through to organization-structure modeling, account-ownership management, and org-level workflow enablement. We continuously strengthen platform availability, scalability, and security so all products can depend on a unified, trusted identity and organization base. Our team owns identity, authN, authZ, and the technical capabilities behind identity verification, and partners closely with Risk, Compliance and Onboarding on broader controls.
