Engineering Technician V

Amentum is seeking an experienced Senior Submarine LAN technician to provide full-time support to the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) in Norfolk, VA.

Essential Responsibilities include:

• •Provide technical assistance in support of software/hardware-related issues
• •Provide the ship's force with recommended solutions to equipment/software-related failures
• •Assist the ship's force as necessary with hands-on technical support
• •Provide crew training during assistance/assessment visits
• •Assist with SubLAN modernization efforts
• •Identify failed components, and assist as necessary in obtaining replacement parts
• •Provide support for non-SubLAN laptops/workstations
• •Assist with LAN Transitions and Grooms

Minimum Requirements

• •Specialized experience: Three (3) years years of full-time engineering experience in the operation, maintenance, installation, test, or repair of submarine electronics systems and equipment. Experience in evaluating the material condition of ship systems and implementing corrective actions
• •General experience: Five (5) years of full-time technical experience in the design, installation, test, or repair of electronics systems and equipment
• •Prior Submarine/Navy LAN Administration experience
• •Must have an active secret US government clearance. Note: US citizenship is required to maintain a secret clearance.

Service Contract Act (SCA) Compensation & Benefits:

This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position that falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA). In accordance with the Health and Welfare provisions of the SCA, and in addition to your base hourly rate, you may be eligible to receive an additional health and welfare payment for each hour you work to ensure compliance with the minimums set forth by the act. The amount you are entitled to receive will vary depending upon the fringe benefits you select now and in the future.

Compensation Details:

$30.00 - 35.00
