- Talon. One, an Adyen company, is the most powerful incentives engine that unifies loyalty, personalized promotions and offer management into a single platform.
- Built for enterprise scale and security, Talon. One helps businesses design and deliver incentives that drive real customer behavior.
Today, over 300 of the world’s most-loved brands including Sephora, Gymshark and Costa Coffee work with Talon. One to turn their incentives into a reliable growth engine.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As an Enterprise Sales Engineer, you'll be the technical advisor our most strategic clients turn to when they're weighing complex architectural decisions. You'll bridge what they need with what Talon. One can do, and you'll do it as a long-term partner, not a one-deal specialist. You'll also work closely with our technology and agency partners, giving them the technical guidance they need to integrate with and build on Talon. One's Incentive engine, and helping them unlock value.
This role is based in one of our US hubs (Boston, NYC, Chicago, San Francisco), with occasional travel (10-20% of your time).
ABOUT THE TEAM:
You'll join a 6-person Sales Engineering team in AMER, part of a 14-person global SE org, reporting to our Head of Sales Engineering AMER. We're shifting from fast, transactional deals toward deep, trust-based partnerships with accounts like the ones you'd recognize from retail and e-commerce, so this role exists specifically to give that shift the technical weight it needs.
ONCE YOU ARE HERE YOU WILL:
Run deep technical discovery with existing clients, mapping their architecture, gaps, and requirements
Design and architect solutions, including custom POCs, that hold up under real client scrutiny
Own the technical thread of RFI/RFP responses for major enterprise accounts, shaping how we differentiate early
Adapt demo material and messaging to fit each client's business, challenges, and audience
Guide technology and agency partners through technical onboarding and training so they can launch their first Talon. One projects successfully
Build and maintain relationships with technical stakeholders up to CTO and CPO level
Execute Proofs of Technology, on-site or remote, that convert technical trust into commercial momentum
Partner closely with the Strategic Account team to turn discovery into a sharp, tailored value proposition
WHAT WE NEED YOU TO BRING TO THE TABLE:
Bring 5+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Business Analyst consultant, ideally in commerce or customer engagement
Understand modern application architecture deeply, including REST APIs, microservices, and container deployment
Show experience navigating technically complex products that touch multiple departments, like Marketing, Tech, Loyalty, Procurement, Pricing, or Merchandising
Demonstrate a track record of long-tenured, relationship-driven work rather than fast quarterly deal cycles
Build consensus across technical and business stakeholders in large organizations
Explain complex technical ideas in plain, concise language to both technical and business audiences
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU :
Adyen+, a significant monthly cash benefit to spend on whatever matters most to you and your wellbeing
Flexible, unlimited paid time off and 11 public holidays every year
Medical, dental and vision coverage: we pay 100% of the base plan cost for you and 90% for your dependents
Build your savings with our 401(k) plan, including a 50% company match on up to 6% of your compensation
Pre-tax FSA and commuter benefit accounts for transit and healthcare expenses
16 weeks of paid parental leave for birthing parents, plus 4 weeks unpaid, and 8 weeks of paid leave for non-birthing parents
100% company-paid life insurance of 2x your salary (up to $525k), short- and long-term disability coverage at 60% of pay, and full pay during FMLA leave through an Adyen top-off
Annual all-company gathering at Adyen’s headquarters in Amsterdam, plus regional team events throughout the year
Opportunity to connect in person at Adyen offices across 29 locations worldwide
The estimated total compensation for this role is $215,000 - $235,000, though actual compensation may vary depending on factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications, certifications, and location. The salary range is subject to change and may be adjusted at any time.
