Job Description

Want to take your project management expertise to new levels? Join our team of highly skilled project, portfolio, and process excellence managers in the Commercial Portfolio & Project Management Center of Excellence (PMCoE) team.

Report to the Director of the Commercial PMCoE Project Management team. The project manager will work with the Commercial PMCoE, which manages a balanced portfolio of projects that support business growth within the Agilent Commercial organization, which is made up of the global Sales and Service organizations, as well as associated enabling organizations (Commercial Operations, and Commercial Marketing, Digital, Analytics & Strategy).

Commercial PMCoE also supports other cross-Agilent projects that are sponsored by the Commercial organization, including enterprise-wide transformation and digital implementation projects. This can include partnering with IT to deliver technology solutions, large‑scale application deployment, systems integration, operational efficiency improvements, process reengineering, and infrastructure upgrades.

As a Commercial Project Manager, you will lead strategic Commercial projects, manage timelines and deliverables, and guide cross-functional teams of subject matter experts through execution. You will also oversee stakeholder communications and project risks while serving as the primary liaison. Demonstrated experience should include serving as an interface between business and technical teams, showing you're comfortable with web technologies and tools and can ask intelligent questions, identify potential issues, and facilitate productive technical discussions.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Lead complex, high-impact commercial projects from concept through implementation, applying deep technical and project management expertise across Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Translate business needs into defined project objectives, plans, timelines, milestones, deliverables, and performance measures aligned with long-term commercial goals.
  • Direct cross-functional resources and subject matter experts across business and technical teams to execute work, resolve dependencies, and deliver project outcomes.
  • Monitor progress, risks, issues, and performance deviations; drive resolution and escalate complex matters to senior leadership when needed.
  • Develop and execute stakeholder communication and engagement plans, facilitate project meetings, and maintain accurate documentation and status reporting using standard PMCoE processes and templates.
  • Partner with change management leaders to prepare end users, align workflows, deliver training, support adoption, and ensure the operational handover of project deliverables at project closure.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of PMCoE capabilities, standards, and practices.

Note: The Ideal candidate will reside close to an Agilent office location or be a Western U.S.-based candidate in one of the following states such as WA, OR, NV, AZ, ID, UT, or CO, with the ability to work Pacific Time Zone hours and collaborate regularly with leaders and teams across the Pacific Time Zone.
