Description

Hoyle Tanner has an opening for an Entry Level Highway Engineer in our Ground Transportation Division. Become part of a team of highway design professionals who are committed to building strong and lasting relationships with our clients by delivering creative, cost effective and quality solutions while enhancing the communities in which we work and live. This position is based out of our Manchester, NH office.

You will:

  • Design and preparation of calculations, plans and specification for State and Municipal Highway projects
  • Complete assignments with direction from the Project Engineer or Project Manager
  • Work as part of an integrated, multi-discipline team to solve technical challenges
  • Use software and other tools to develop designs and organize work
  • Gather, research and maintain engineering records including tests, drawings and field data
  • May attend inspections, site visits and meetings with clients and contractors for highway projects under construction
  • May be responsible for construction observation and limited administration
  • Read and understand technical drawings and specifications
  • Demonstrate strong writing and communication skills
  • Increase knowledge through continuous learning within and outside the organization including pursuit of an advanced engineering degree and/or certification

Requirements

  • BS in Civil Engineering (MS preferred)
  • EIT/EI preferred, or ability to obtain
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience
  • Salary is contingent on experience
