Job Summary:

Whirlwind Steel is looking for a motivated and driven recent college graduate to join our team as an Entry-Level Territory Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to begin a career in sales, customer relationships, and business development .

In this role, you will learn our products, customers, and sales processes while working alongside experienced sales professionals. You will build relationships with customers and prospects, assist with managing orders and projects, and develop the skills needed to successfully manage a sales territory.

The ideal candidate is someone who is eager to learn, comfortable communicating with others, motivated by goals, and interested in building a long-term career in sales. Sales or industry experience is not required—we are willing to train the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn Whirlwind Steel's products, services, sales processes, and customer base.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with current customers and prospects.
  • Communicate with customers by phone and email regarding orders, projects, questions, and product needs.
  • Assist the District Sales Manager with developing new business and strengthening existing customer relationships.
  • Follow up with customers throughout the sales and order process to provide a high level of service.
  • Work toward individual and team sales goals while learning how to grow an assigned territory.
  • Learn to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
  • Enter and maintain accurate customer, prospect, and order information in the CRM system.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to help ensure customer orders and projects are processed accurately and efficiently.
  • Develop an understanding of the metal building industry and how our products support our customers' needs.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to build sales, product, and business knowledge.
  • Represent Whirlwind Steel professionally and demonstrate our commitment to customer service.
  • Take on increasing responsibility as knowledge, skills, and confidence develop.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Recent college graduate or graduating senior with a degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Communications, or a related field preferred .
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable communicating with customers by phone, email, and in person.
  • Motivated by goals, challenges, and opportunities to learn.
  • Interested in developing a long-term career in sales or business development.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to learn new products, processes, and systems quickly.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team.
  • Positive, professional attitude with a strong willingness to learn and grow.
  • Sales, internship, customer service, leadership, or other relevant experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Metal building or construction industry experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
