How Your Role Will Shape Our Success

Start your engineering career by learning how structures perform in the real world. As a Structural Restoration Engineer, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers to investigate existing structures, understand the causes of deterioration or distress, and help develop practical repair and restoration solutions.

You’ll gain experience both in the field and in the office, giving you the opportunity to see projects from initial investigation through design and construction. Along the way, you’ll build the technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and project experience that will help you grow as a structural engineer.

New to restoration? That’s okay. We’re looking for someone with a strong engineering foundation, curiosity, and a desire to learn. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your restoration knowledge through hands-on project experience and mentorship.

What You’ll Do

Participate in field investigations of existing buildings and structures

Help evaluate structural conditions, deterioration, and damage

Perform structural analysis and engineering calculations with guidance from experienced engineers

Assist in developing repair and restoration designs

Prepare drawings, details, reports, and other project documentation

Visit active project sites and gain exposure to construction and repair methods

Collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, and clients

Take on increasing responsibility as your technical and project experience grows

What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field

Interest in structural engineering, restoration, existing buildings, and hands-on problem-solving

Strong analytical and communication skills

Curiosity and a willingness to learn

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a project team

Interest in pursuing professional engineering licensure
