Oversee EPC contractors and subcontractors, including performance monitoring, schedule coordination, and quality control inspections.
Lead pre-construction planning reviews, including environmental permit conditions, SWPPP requirements, and biological clearance surveys/protocols, and communicate requirements to field crews and contractors.
Coordinate the resolution of construction-related environmental issues (e.g., stormwater management, spill response, habitat/wetland and species protection) in partnership with the Environmental team.
Conduct regular field inspections to monitor construction progress and environmental compliance, including SWPPP and biological clearance conditions; provide corrective action recommendations as needed.
Manage external consultants and contractors, including budget tracking, deliverables, and quality control review of reports and submissions prior to distribution.
Track and report construction progress, budget variances, and environmental compliance status to Construction and Environmental management.
Administer and enforce corporate construction and environmental policies, standards, and regulatory requirements as they apply to Clearway projects.
What You'll Bring
Minimum of 5 years' experience in environmental construction and/or construction management in the wind and/or solar energy industry, including SWPPP and biological clearance oversight.
Minimum of 2 years' experience managing environmental compliance scope or programs, including vendor/contractor coordination.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Working knowledge of construction practices for renewable energy projects (solar, wind, and/or storage) is required, along with knowledge of SWPPP implementation and biological clearance requirements.
Working knowledge of applicable environmental regulations (e.g., Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, SPCC) as related to the construction of renewable energy projects is desirable.
Working knowledge of hazardous and non-hazardous materials handling, storage, and disposal requirements as they relate to construction activities is required.
Highly resourceful and strategic thinker; able to summarize complex issues, identify opportunities or next steps with limited guidance, and add value through creative input.
Motivated team player who is action-oriented and interested in continually learning and taking on additional and more complex responsibilities.
Proven ability to work in a team environment and perform effectively in a fast-paced, unstructured field environment without close supervision.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Able to maintain composure and diplomacy in all situations.
