ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• •Performs Rapid and Comprehensive Assessments
• •Develops and Implements Emergency Care Plans.
• •Delivers Timely and Effective Interventions
• •Prepares patients for diagnostic testing, procedures, or transfer to higher levels of care
• •Evaluates Patient Responses and Adjusts Care
• •Facilitates Communication and Coordination
• •Demonstrates Clinical Competence in Emergency Nursing
• •Manages Multiple Patients and Prioritizes Care
• •Provides Age-Appropriate and Culturally Sensitive Care
• •Ensures Safety and Compliance
• •Maintains Professional Standards and Regulatory Compliance

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• •Associate degree in nursing required.
• •Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• •Current Iowa RN license, IL RN license within one year required.
• •American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• •American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required only if the unit has telemetry monitoring capabilities.
• •Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter – Child and/or Dependent Adult Abuse training within three (3) months of hire
• •High language, intermediate to high math, high critical thinking ability
• •Basic computer skills required
