Summary of the role:

The ERP Engineer II (SAP BTP Integration Suite) is a hands-on integration developer responsible for building, deploying, and supporting integrations that connect SAP S/4HANA with internal applications, partners, and cloud platforms. Working under the direction of senior engineers and leads, the engineer develops iFlows, APIs, and B2B/EDI interfaces using SAP BTP Integration Suite – Cloud Integration, API Management, and Trading Partner Management. The role contributes to interface design, message mapping, unit testing, deployment, monitoring, and issue resolution across critical functions such as PTP, OTC, DTC, and FICO. With growing SAP integration expertise and solid engineering fundamentals, the engineer helps deliver secure, reliable, and well-monitored data flows while learning to troubleshoot, stabilize, and improve business-critical integrations.

About the Job

• •Develop and maintain SAP BTP Integration Suite solutions, including iFlows, APIs, and B2B/EDI interfaces connecting SAP S/4HANA with external systems.
• •Build interfaces based on approved technical designs, including message mapping, value mapping, error handling, and required XSLT or Groovy scripting.
• •Configure and support B2B/EDI, IDoc, OData, SOAP, and REST integrations using standards such as ANSI X12 and EDIFACT.
• •Perform unit testing and support integration and UAT testing; prepare deployment packages and transports for releases.
• •Monitor integration processing, investigate failures, reprocess messages where appropriate, and escalate complex issues to senior team members.
• •Maintain interface documentation, configuration details, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides to support operations and knowledge sharing.
• •Follow security, credential management, access control, and change-governance standards while collaborating with functional, development, and support teams to improve integration quality.
• •AI mindset with passion to adopt AI and deliver solutions.
• •AI-assisted integration development using generative AI tools to support iFlow design, message mapping, Groovy scripting, API documentation, and test-case creation.
• •AI-driven monitoring and incident analysis to identify integration anomalies, summarize error logs, recommend root causes, and improve resolution time.

About You

• •5–8 years of experience in SAP Integration development using SAP PI/PO, SAP BTP Integration Suite, and MuleSoft.
• •Strong expertise in SAP Integration Suite, API Management, IBM MFT, IBM MQ, and enterprise integration technologies.
• •Hands-on experience with REST, SOAP, OData, IDoc, EDI, SFTP, AS2, message mapping, and Groovy/XSLT scripting.
• •Experience developing, supporting, and troubleshooting integrations in SAP and enterprise environments.
• •Knowledge of SAP business processes including FICO, OTC, PTP, master data, sales, and billing.
• •Proficiency in Java and/or Python development.
• •Hands-on experience with Generative AI, AI Agents, LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, vector databases, and AI-enabled automation.
• •Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills; S/4HANA, Fashion/Retail, and cloud integration experience preferred.
