Main Purpose:
W ill support the Group’s ESG strategy by coordinating, analysing and reporting ESG data across the business, with a particular focus on environmental performance and data. A key aspect of the role will be supporting the Group’s compliance with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), including participation in CSRD-related audits and the development and maintenance of robust documentation to demonstrate data quality, accuracy, consistency and traceability.
The role will work closely with teams across the business to improve ESG data collection and reporting processes, act as a key point of contact for ESG-related queries, and help embed ESG considerations throughout the organisation. In addition, the ESG Analyst will contribute to the development and implementation of broader ESG programmes and initiatives, including social and community-focused activities.
Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collect, validate and analyse ESG data, emphasizing environmental metrics in particular.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness and consistency of environmental data within relevant systems.
- Support the preparation of internal and external ESG reports and disclosures.
- Assist with the Group’s CSRD reporting and audit activities, including preparation of supporting evidence and documentation.
- Develop, maintain and improve ESG data methodologies, processes and technical documentation to ensure data quality and traceability.
- Maintain appropriate records and evidence to support ESG reporting and assurance requirements.
- Serve as the primary liaison for ESG-related questions and data requests from the business.
- Work with business locations and functional teams to improve ESG data collection, understanding and reporting processes.
- Assist in the development and implementation of ESG programmes and initiatives, including social and community-focused activities.
- Prepare ESG-related presentations, analysis and management information for internal collaborators.
- Find opportunities to improve ESG data processes, reporting efficiency and overall data quality.
Stay informed of relevant ESG reporting requirements, standards and emerging sustainability developments.
Knowledge, Skills and Abiliti es
- A postgraduate qualification in Sustainability, ESG, Environmental Management or a related field would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Relevant professional qualifications or training in ESG, sustainability reporting, carbon accounting, environmental management or climate-related topics would be an advantage.
- Experience implementing, configuring or improving ESG data collection and reporting processes within digital platforms would be an advantage.
- Proven experience in carbon footprint calculation, environmental data analysis, and/or ESG reporting — ideally including experience supporting audit or assurance processes.
- Hands-on experience working with ESG, environmental, or sustainability data management systems. .
- Practical experience with ESG reporting and carbon accounting platforms, including tools used for ESG data collection, emissions calculations, data consolidation, analysis and sustainability reporting.
- Strong data management and analytical skills, including advanced or highly proficient use of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience developing and maintaining technical documentation, methodologies, processes or data controls.
- A solid grasp of ESG concepts, principles and sustainability reporting.
- An understanding of CSRD and sustainability reporting requirements (such as GRI, CDP, WEF, TCFD, etc.), or a strong willingness and ability to learn these requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, with a methodical approach to data quality, accuracy and traceability!
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building effective relationships across different functions and locations.
- Experience working in a multinational and multicultural environment, ideally supporting stakeholders and business locations across different countries and regions, adapting communication and working styles to different audiences and business contexts.
- Ability to engage and influence collaborators remotely and in person, and to foster awareness and understanding of ESG topics across the business.
- Strong organizational skills, demonstrating capacity to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prepare clear and professional presentations and reports using Microsoft PowerPoint, digital literacy.
- Proficient written and spoken English.
- Demonstrate genuine passion for environmental, social, and governance initiatives as well as a dedication to balanced development and an interest in emerging developments in the field!
- Bring a curious, analytical attitude and genuinely enjoy working with data to uncover insights.
- Demonstrate sharp attention to detail and take ownership of data integrity and accuracy.
- Be proactive and comfortable taking ownership of tasks and projects.
- Communicate ESG topics with confidence and clarity, tailoring your message for both specialist and non-specialist audiences.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across multiple locations and functions, building strong cross-functional relationships.
- Be adaptable and proficient at prioritizing effectively in a dynamic and evolving environment.
- Training will be provided on the Group’s specific CSRD requirements.
