Estimator, Building Construction

You’re an Estimator with 3-7 years of construction experience and an interest in growing your estimating career. You have exposure to quantity take-offs, cost analysis, subcontractor pricing, and bid preparation and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team.

You’ll support the preparation of accurate and competitive estimates for commercial, residential, and light industrial construction projects.

Essential Responsibilities:

• •Support subcontractor and supplier solicitation, review quotes, and assist with bid comparisons and selections
• •Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to support the preparation of accurate and competitive estimates
• •Complete quantity take-offs and pricing across various scopes of work, maintaining clear and accurate estimating documentation
• •Assist with RFIs, bid requirements, scope reviews, and the preparation of tender submissions
• •Work closely with estimators, project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather pricing and project information
• •Participate in site visits, estimate reviews, and pre-award meetings while continuing to build knowledge of construction costs and estimating practices

Qualifications:

• •1–5 years of estimating, project coordination, or related construction experience, ideally within commercial, residential, or light industrial construction
• •Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Estimating, Engineering, or a related field
• •Experience reading construction drawings, specifications, and other project documentation
• •Exposure to quantity take-offs, construction pricing, budgeting, and the tendering process
• •Experience with MS Office and estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff (OST); BIM experience is considered an asset
• •Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills with an interest in continuing to develop your estimating knowledge

$63,600.00 - $87,450.00

This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
