Description

Lexington Country Club, a premier private country club in Fort Myers, Florida, is seeking an experienced Events & Member Experiences Manager to join our Food & Beverage management team.

This is a hands-on hospitality position responsible for planning and executing member events, private functions, weddings, and seasonal programming. The role combines event planning, member communication, administrative coordination, and on-site event operations. The successful candidate must be equally comfortable planning an event in the office and being present during the function to help ensure it is executed successfully.

Important Schedule Expectations

This is not a traditional Monday-through-Friday office position. The work schedule is driven by the Club’s event calendar and operational needs. Regular evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required, particularly during the Club’s busy season. Some events will require extended or irregular hours, including remaining at the Club through the conclusion of an event.

Candidates should apply only if they are comfortable working a flexible hospitality schedule and understand that successful event management requires being present when events take place.

Responsibilities Include

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute member events, social activities, private functions, weddings, and seasonal programming from concept through completion.
  • Serve as a key member of the Food & Beverage team and work closely with culinary, banquet, service, and other Club departments.
  • Meet and communicate with members and clients to understand their needs, develop event details, and provide attentive service throughout the planning process.
  • Prepare and maintain Banquet Event Orders and coordinate menus, entertainment, reservations, room setups, staffing needs, vendors, and other event logistics.
  • Be present for assigned events, monitor execution, respond to changing needs, and help ensure service and presentation meet the Club’s standards.
  • Provide direction and operational support to banquet and service staff during events.
  • Develop creative programming that encourages member participation and enhances the overall Club experience.
  • Promote events through newsletters, social media, digital communications, and other Club communication channels.
  • Coordinate event billing, monitor expenses and financial performance, and support departmental budget goals.
  • Build productive relationships with members, vendors, entertainers, managers, and employees across the Club.
  • Stay informed about hospitality, private-club, dining, entertainment, and event trends.

The Successful Candidate Will Be

  • Experienced in event planning, hospitality, food and beverage, club operations, catering, or a closely related field.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple events, deadlines, and last-minute changes.
  • Comfortable working directly with members and handling detailed or sensitive requests professionally.
  • Skilled at communicating with culinary, banquet, service, administrative, and operational teams.
  • Calm, visible, and solutions-oriented during busy events.
  • Willing and able to work evenings, weekends, holidays, extended shifts, and other hours dictated by the event calendar.
  • Committed to delivering polished events and exceptional member experiences.

Lexington Country Club offers the opportunity to create memorable experiences in an active and highly regarded private-club environment. If you understand the demands of hospitality event operations and enjoy seeing an event through from the first idea until the final guest leaves, we encourage you to apply.

Lexington Country Club is an Equal Opportunity Employer and values diversity in its workforce. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds who share our commitment to excellence in hospitality and member service.
