GE Aerospace seeks a seasoned military aviation leader to serve as Executive for Army Programs. This senior-level position requires extensive Pentagon experience and deep understanding of military aviation requirements, particularly in rotary-wing platforms and propulsion systems. The ideal candidate will leverage their military leadership background and familiarity with GE Aerospace's family of military engines and avionics to drive strategic program development, strengthen relationships with Army stakeholders, and support the growth of GE Aerospace's defense portfolio.

Job Description

Role & Responsibilities

Strategic Program Leadership

  • Lead strategic planning and execution for GE Aerospace Army Programs, aligning product offerings with evolving military aviation requirements
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive understanding of Army aviation modernization priorities, fleet requirements, and long-term capability gaps
  • Partner with business unit leaders to shape program strategies that support both warfighter needs and business objectives
  • Provide strategic guidance on market opportunities, competitive positioning, and program capture strategies

Pentagon & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Leverage Pentagon experience and relationships to engage effectively with Army leadership, program offices, and requirements organizations
  • Apply Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) expertise to anticipate budget cycles, program priorities, and resource allocation decisions
  • Serve as senior GE Aerospace representative in discussions with Army Program Executive Offices (PEOs), program managers, and acquisition leadership
  • Navigate DoD acquisition processes to position GE solutions for current and future Army aviation programs
  • Monitor and influence Army aviation policy, strategy, and investment decisions that impact GE Aerospace products

Technical & Product Advocacy

  • Develop and maintain deep familiarity with GE Aerospace's family of military engines (T700, T901, T408, etc.) and integrated avionics systems
  • Articulate technical capabilities, performance advantages, and lifecycle value propositions to military customers
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure GE solutions meet Army operational requirements
  • Support demonstration events, flight evaluations, and technical exchanges with Army stakeholders

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Coordinate across sales, engineering, contracts, and business development teams to deliver integrated solutions
  • Lead capture planning and proposal efforts for major Army programs
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of excellence and customer focus

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university
  • A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in military aviation programs, defense acquisition, or related fields
  • Extensive Pentagon experience, including demonstrated expertise in Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) processes
  • Deep understanding of Army aviation operations, requirements, and acquisition programs
  • Proven ability to build and leverage relationships with senior military and civilian leaders in the Pentagon and Army aviation community
  • Familiarity with GE Aerospace's family of military engines and avionics systems, or demonstrated ability to rapidly develop technical proficiency

  • Strong organizational and program management skills with ability to coordinate multiple complex initiatives
  • Sound judgment and decision-making capability, particularly in ambiguous or rapidly evolving situations
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently while maintaining alignment with broader organizational goals
  • High degree of integrity, professionalism, and emotional intelligence

Desired Qualifications

  • Recent (within 5 years) separation from active duty or continued engagement with Army aviation community
  • Former Aviation Brigade Commander or equivalent senior military aviation leadership position strongly preferred
  • Advanced degree in engineering, business, or related field
  • Direct experience with GE engines (T700, T901, T408) or competing propulsion systems in operational environments
  • Experience with Future Vertical Lift (FVL) programs or Army aviation modernization initiatives
  • Working knowledge of ITAR, DFARS, and other defense regulations affecting technology cooperation
  • Top Secret security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain clearance

The base pay range for this position is $200,000.00-300,000.00. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on 10/16/2026.
