Job Description Summary

GE Vernova's Grid Systems Integration business is at the center of the global energy transition, delivering critical infrastructure that powers communities, industries, and data centers worldwide. With a trajectory toward $10 billion in revenue by 2030 and aggressive expansion across geographies, technologies, and talent markets, this is a once-in-a-career opportunity to shape a high-growth business from the inside out.

We are looking for a seasoned HR leader to serve as the head of Human Resources for the Grid Systems Integration business line, reporting directly to the Vice President of HR for the Electrification segment and operationally to the Grid Systems Integration Business Leader. This role is not about maintaining the status quo. It is about building the people strategy, organizational architecture, and leadership pipeline that will enable a business undergoing rapid, complex transformation. The ideal candidate is energized by talent, culture, and the challenge of scaling organizations at speed without sacrificing quality.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and drive the full people strategy for the Grid Systems Integration business, acting as a trusted partner to the business line President and senior leadership team.
  • Architect and lead the talent pipeline to support the intake of approximately 1,000 new hires annually, including 500 to 700 net new roles, across highly competitive and talent-scarce markets in North America, Asia-Pacific, and Europe.
  • Partner with leadership to transition the organization from a reliance on individual expertise to scalable, standardized systems and processes that support sustainable growth.
  • Lead the sourcing and integration of specialized technical talent in areas such as high-voltage direct current controls, systems architecture, and cybersecurity to maintain the business's position as a technology leader.
  • Drive a "Best Value Location" hiring strategy that expands recruitment beyond traditional hubs and leverages centers of excellence to optimize cost and capability.
  • Champion the adoption of AI, automation, and robotics across engineering centers and factory operations, guiding the workforce through meaningful technology-driven change.
  • Continuously assess and upgrade leadership across the business, injecting fresh, forward-thinking leaders who bring energy and vision to a rapidly evolving organization.
  • Build and sustain a culture of innovation, inclusion, and operational discipline that attracts top talent and retains high performers.
  • Use data and workforce analytics to inform decisions, measure progress, and adjust strategies in real time as business conditions evolve.
  • Engage, Inspire and drive performance and career development for a global team of HR Partners, with a particular focus on continuous improvement and transformation for GE Vernova’s HR Function.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent knowledge/experience.
  • Extensive progressive HR leadership experience, with a significant portion spent in industrial, engineering, or technology-intensive environments. Knowledge level is equivalent to 15+ years of experience.
  • Proven track record of scaling organizations through periods of rapid growth, including managing large-volume hiring cycles of 1,000 or more per year.
  • Deep experience in talent strategy, organizational design, and culture transformation within complex, matrixed global businesses.
  • Experience leading or supporting workforce transformation initiatives involving AI, automation, or other emerging technologies.
  • Strong background in change management, with the ability to guide technical and engineering populations through significant shifts in how they work.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Advanced degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with senior executives and influence business decisions through a strong understanding of commercial and operational realities.
  • Familiarity with global workforce strategies, including offshoring, nearshoring, and optimizing talent across multiple regions.
  • A hands-on, results-oriented leadership style that balances strategic thinking with a bias for action.
