Experienced Pizza Maker

Description

A newly opened restaurant in North Tonawanda is seeking an experience Pizza Maker. The Pizza Maker is responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality pizzas in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment. This role requires strong knowledge of pizza production, dough handling, topping preparation, oven execution, and consistency in quality and presentation. Experience with Detroit-style pizza is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

• •Prepare and cook pizzas according to standardized recipes, specifications, and quality standards.
• •Stretch, press, or shape dough and prepare pizza bases efficiently and consistently.
• •Assemble pizzas with proper portioning, topping distribution, and presentation.
• •Operate pizza ovens safely and effectively to ensure accurate cook times and product quality.
• •Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked pizza station throughout each shift.
• •Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe kitchen environment.
• •Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service during peak hours.
• •Monitor food quality and ensure orders are prepared correctly and delivered on time.
• •Assist with prep work, ingredient rotation, and inventory awareness to minimize waste.
• •Complete closing duties including cleaning equipment, station breakdown, and restocking as assigned by the Kitchen Manager.
• •Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• •2–4+ years of experience working in a high-volume pizza environment required.
• •Detroit-style pizza experience is preferred but not required.
• •Strong knowledge of pizza-making techniques, dough handling, sauces, toppings, and oven cooking.
• •Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced setting.
• •Strong attention to detail, food consistency, and presentation.
• •Reliable and able to work well as part of a team.
• •Must be available nights, weekends, and holidays.
• •Must be at least 18 years old.

Physical Requirements:

• •Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• •Continuously bend, reach, twist and use your hands and arms.
• •Able to lift 40 pounds at a time.
