Experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) – Valleydale / Birmingham, Alabama

Ally Psychiatry is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our growing outpatient behavioral health team in the Valleydale area of Birmingham.

This is a full-time outpatient PMHNP opportunity offering a Monday–Friday schedule, strong physician collaboration, structured clinical support, and excellent work-life balance within a clinician-led psychiatry practice.

Candidates must have a minimum of one year of PMHNP experience practicing in Alabama and an active DEA license at the time of hire.

PMHNP Position Highlights

• •Full-time outpatient psychiatry position
• •Monday–Friday clinic schedule (no inpatient duties)
• •Light call rotation approximately one weekend per month
• •Established outpatient psychiatry practice in the Birmingham metro

PMHNP Responsibilities

• •Perform psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments

• •Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams
• •Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
• •Participate in shared weekend call rotation (light coverage)
