The CTO (Chief Technology Officer) Community is ensuring safe and stable operation of processes at our global production sites. It also has responsibility for planning, building, and improving our processes and production plants.

The competence center “Downstream Processing” is globally responsible for thermal unit operations within Covestro. This comprises the basic design of equipment, the optimization of existing units and trouble-shooting. If necessary, calculation results are supported by extensive lab trials.

To expand our team, we are looking for an expert (m/f/d) in distillation. In your future function you will cover the following tasks among others:

You will be in charge for the design of technical equipment and units

Furthermore, your task will be to plan and support lab and pilot units as well as to evaluate the test results

Your responsibilities include modeling of distillation processes

Further development of expertise in the field of distillation will be in your responsibility

You will be responsible for the acquisition and coordination of projects

You will supervise trainees (m/f/d)

What you offer

You hold a master degree in process or chemical engineering

You have several years of experience in the field of distillation, ideally through a PhD in this field.

You are experienced in project management

The ability to recognize technical needs of our customers, to transform them into solutions and to effectively present them to the customers rounds up your profile.

You have fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken
