Export Operations & Trade Compliance Manager

The Export Operations & Trade Compliance Manager is responsible for building and managing Alfaa UV's export operations capability in India. The role will establish export processes, controls, logistics-provider networks, and trade compliance programs to support international business growth.

• •Build and establish export operations capability in India , rather than simply manage an existing logistics process.
• •Create export readiness plans and coordinate activities across functions.
• •Own export documentation and customs compliance.
• •Handle HS classification, Country of Origin and Incoterms .
• •Ensure compliance with Indian export requirements including: IEC DGFT ICEGATE Shipping Bills Export record keeping
• •Develop SOPs, controls and reporting metrics for export operations.
• •Select and manage freight forwarders, customs brokers and logistics providers .
• •Lead the company's initial export shipments and subsequently scale the operation.
• •Improve export/logistics processes and establish a sustainable compliance framework.

Ideal candidate profile

Must-have

• •7–10+ years in export operations / international logistics / customs / trade compliance .
• •Strong hands-on experience with Indian export documentation and customs procedures .
• •Knowledge of DGFT, ICEGATE, IEC and Shipping Bills .
• •Hands-on understanding of HS/HSN classification, Country of Origin and Incoterms .
• •Experience dealing directly with freight forwarders and customs brokers .
• •Evidence of building, setting up or significantly improving export processes , not only executing shipments.

Strong preference

• •Manufacturing / industrial / engineering product environment.
• •Experience establishing SOPs, controls and compliance processes .
• •International shipment experience involving multiple countries .
• •Experience taking an export operation from initial shipment to a scalable operating model .
