Description
Help Keep One of Tulsa’s Most Iconic and Beloved Attractions Running at Its Best!
At Gathering Place, our facilities are more than buildings and equipment; they are part of an experience enjoyed by countless guests from Tulsa and beyond.
We’re looking for a skilled, hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician who takes pride in solving problems, fixing things the right way, and keeping a complex, one-of-a-kind park safe, beautiful, and available for our guests every day. This isn’t a role where every day looks the same. You might troubleshoot a mechanical issue, repair playground equipment, complete preventative maintenance, address a plumbing or electrical problem, make a carpentry repair, or respond to an unexpected need somewhere across the park. You don’t have to be an expert in every trade.
We’re looking for someone with broad maintenance experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and curiosity and initiative to troubleshoot problems.
If you enjoy variety, working with your hands, being outside, figuring out how things work, and seeing the direct impact of your work, we’d like to hear from you.
Essential Functions (including, but not limited to):
- Provide exemplary guest satisfaction by embracing Gathering Place culture as directed.
- Assist park leaders and team members in providing a safe environment for guests and co-workers by following all safety guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Follow all operating policies and procedures on a continuous basis to ensure safety, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on all assigned equipment. Daily, weekly, monthly.
- Assigned equipment includes but is not limited to:
- Playground equipment
- Park buildings and facilities
- Electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Life safety systems
- Park hardscape
- Maintain accurate documentation and records on all repairs and inspections by using Computer Maintenance Management Software (TMA).
- Manage assigned work in an effective and timely manner while keep management informed of issues or delays.
- Must be able to work independently with little to no supervision and troubleshoot problems or in a team environment as directed by leadership
- Ensure all work conforms to federal, state and local safety laws.
- Be professional, courteous and initiate positive interaction with park guests and staff.
- Respond to internal requests in a timely manner.
- Consistently practice safe habits including the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), safe lifting techniques, and reporting safety concerns.
- Maintain a professional appearance that meets Gathering Place grooming standards.
- Must be available to work varying shifts/hours based on business need including open, mid, closing shifts, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
- All other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds.
- Must be comfortable with exposure to noise and vibrations.
- Must be able to work indoors / outdoors in a variety of weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, etc.
- Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights.
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Must have the visual and auditory acuity plus communication skills needed for park general safety practices.
- Must be able to work in a variety of noise volume levels.
- Must be able to bend, reach, twist and turn with complete flexibility and maneuver in and around tight spaces.
- Must be comfortable working around fumes/dust/odor and handling chemicals with training (grease, oil, etc.)
Requirements

- Desire and ability to enhance The Gathering Place brand and its executive team in the best interest of the Community, The George Kaiser Family Foundation, donors, and all Stakeholders.
