Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Description

MileOne Autogroup is now hiring a full time Facilities Maintenance Technician at our MotorWorld location in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Compensation: $15.00 - $18.00

The Facilities Maintenance Technicians an entry level position where the skills listed below will be enhanced or trained to the accepted level. A successful candidate will be a self starter, be able ability to work independently with little supervision, and have a proven ability to communicate effectively.

Qualifications:

• •Basic experience in preventative maintenance routines, documentation and procedures
• •Basic experience in the repair of floors, walls, ceilings, roofs, asphalt and concrete surfaces
• •Basic experience in industrial electro-mechanical systems, plumbing lighting and ventilation
• •Ability to operate commercial landscaping tools and snow removal equipment safely
• •Competent in MS Office platforms and other computerized maintenance management programs
• •High school diploma or equivalent. Clean DMV record

Responsibilities Will Include:

• •Follow all established safety policies, procedures and expectations
• •Promote and conduct good housekeeping practices
• •Flexibility with work schedules in a 24-7 operational environment
• •Being self-motivated with a high bar on quality
• •Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize projects and work loads
• •Assists peer technicians in the repair of electro-mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• •Assists peer technicians in the repair of fixed building structure
• •Good working knowledge of computer data entry, e-mail communication and internet research

Physical Demands:

• •Repetitive bending, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, walking and driving
• •Lifting parts and tools weighing up to 50 pounds
• •Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, foot and motions. Repetitive flexion and rotation
• •Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces
