Facilities Maintenance Technician Electrician

Major/Essential Duties of the Job:

Performs a variety of technical and skilled work involved in the installation, maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring, and equipment.

Works with and around low to high voltage; 12 volt AC/DC up to 3 phase 480 volt.

Basic troubleshooting methods for electrical circuits.

Works with conduits, wires, pull boxes, switch boxes and switches.

• •Observes and reports discrepancies.
• •Discusses tasks and projects and suggests appropriate methods for completion.

• •Submits work order completion reports completely, timely, and accurately.
• •Operates vehicles, equipment, and hand/power tools as necessary.
• •Cares for and maintains tools, equipment, keys, uniforms, and other items issued.
• •Assists other personnel as directed.
• •Performs other duties as assigned.

• Required Education/Experience:
• High school graduate or GED.
• Basic knowledge and experience working with electricity.
• Ability to diagnose problems and determine proper repair procedures. Experience with hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of basic safety requirements, procedures, and techniques. Ability and willingness to learn new skills, knowledge, and techniques.

• Preferred Education/Experience:
• Trade school graduate.
• Journeyman or Master's License preferred
