About Youth Opportunity & Lebanon Youth Academy

Youth Opportunity is a nationally recognized leader in residential and behavioral health treatment for at‑risk youth. Lebanon Youth Academy in Lebanon, Tennessee offers an 18‑bed trauma‑informed Youth Academy for boys ages 12 to 17. Serving youth needing structured treatment and emotional support, the center combines individual, family, and group therapy with academic programming, restorative justice, life skills training, and social skill development.

Youth typically remain for 3 to 6 months , engaging in victim‑impact awareness, pre‑vocational preparation, and family involvement. Programming is conducted in small group living units to support reintegration into home and community settings.

Position Summary – Facility Maintenance Worker Job in Lebanon, TN

We are hiring a Facility Maintenance Manager to support the daily operations of Lebanon Youth Academy This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in building and grounds maintenance who want to make a meaningful impact in a residential treatment environment. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient facility to ensure a supportive setting for youth and staff.

Facility Maintenance Manager Responsibilities

Manage building services including maintenance, groundskeeping, parking areas, and facility safety

Conduct regular building inspections and take proactive steps to ensure a safe, efficient, and presentable environment

Oversee safety and security measures, including fire, burglary, and facility closures

Monitor and maintain close circuit security systems and access card operations

Support program managers by identifying and coordinating maintenance projects and repairs

Track and maintain facility fire and health inspections and ensure timely resolution of deficiencies

Direct contractor activities related to facility maintenance, equipment, and grounds

Other Duties Include

Maintain a high standard of role model behavior for youth

Participate in training and development activities as required

Report any acts, incidents, or conditions reflecting inappropriate behavior

Report any use of physical force and all unusual incidents per guidelines

Perform other duties as assigned or needed

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Ability to pass background check and drug screen

Strong organizational and communication skills

Ability to foster a positive, team-oriented work environment

Preferred Experience

3+ years’ experience in facility maintenance or related roles

Prior project management experience strongly preferred

Other Requirements

Physical Demands: Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 75 pounds. Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision. Ability to drive for extended periods.

Other: Must maintain an appropriate and valid state driver’s license. Must meet company auto insurance requirements. Must meet state criminal background check and pre-employment screening requirements.
