This role involves site preparation, setting posts, installing fencing and gates, and ensuring all work meets quality standards and project specifications. Technicians will operate tools and equipment, work collaboratively with the crew, and follow all safety procedures to deliver reliable, high-quality results.

Primary Responsibilities

Dig or auger post holes, set line, corner, end, and gate posts in concrete or by driving, and verify proper depth, spacing, and alignment.

Install chain-link fencing, including fabric, rails, ties, and fittings.

Stretch and secure barbed wire, install barb arms, and build security fencing to commercial and industrial specifications.

Build, hang, and adjust walk, double-drive, cantilever, and rolling gates. Install hinges, latches, drop rods, and hardware, and assist with gate operators and access control when required.

Build H-braces and corner assemblies, properly tension fabric and wire, and install tension bands, rails, ties, and top and bottom wire.

Repair storm or vehicle damage, replace damaged posts and fence sections, and remove and haul away old fencing.

Operate and maintain post-hole augers, post drivers, skid steers, concrete mixers, wire stretchers, saws, and welders as trained.

Follow OSHA and company safety requirements, wear appropriate PPE, maintain an organized work area and truck, and review completed work with the crew lead before leaving the job site.
