Field Construction Intern

Position Description

Assist the Superintendent with coordinating daily on-site activities, including subcontractor scheduling, material deliveries, and equipment logistics

Assist with monitoring construction quality and ensuring work complies with project plans, specifications, and building codes

Participate in safety meetings, inspections, and other activities that promote a safe working environment

Assist with documenting project progress through daily logs, photographs, reports, and other project documentation

Support the Superintendent with coordinating subcontractor activities, addressing issues, and ensuring work is completed according to project requirements

Participate in meetings with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders

Assist with communicating project updates, issues, and resolutions to project team members

Gain exposure to construction practices, project management processes, and industry standards through hands-on experience, training, and mentorship

Perform special projects and other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Building Construction Management or a related field

Available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week

Strong interest in pursuing a career in commercial construction

Eagerness to learn, ask questions, and contribute as part of a team

Strong organizational and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
