Field Duct Installer

Riddleberger Brothers, Inc. is seeking to hire a hard-working and growth-minded individual to join our team as a Field Duct Installer. No prior experience is required; we offer on-the-job training (OJT). We'll give you everything you need for career success. You’ll create with your hands, working outdoors in different environments, installing duct work on commercial projects such as schools, hospitals, and government centers. As you pass by important community buildings throughout the Shenandoah Valley, you'll be able to tell your family and friends “I helped build that”.

Competitive pay: $19.00 - $34.00 an hour or $39,520 - $70,720 a year

Mechanic C: $19.00 - $23.00

Mechanic B: $22.00 - $26.50

Mechanic A: $24.00 - $34.00

*Placement within a level is based on experience, certifications, and performance

Primary Purpose of this position:

Assemble, install and repair duct, equipment, and accessories in order to construct HVAC systems.

Your main Tasks:

To work safely no matter what. Safety is our highest priority.

Learn to lay out and install commercial duct work in a wide variety of job settings.

Unload, move, and handle commercial-scale duct work.

Properly finish and seal duct work.

Work at heights, from ladders, lifts, or roof.

Assist with installing commercial HVAC equipment.

Learn to use a variety of power & hand tools.

You need to be able to;

Keep it a Drug-free Workplace.

Be punctual and reliable.

Work as a team.

Do Basic “Tape measure math”

Work in extremes of heat, cold and bad weather, indoors and outdoors.

Stand and walk throughout the workday, and lift/carry up to 60 lbs.

Work efficiently in confined spaces.

Work reaching above shoulders, crawling, squatting, kneeling, bending.

Exercise fine motor control, with good vision and excellent hand-eye coordination.

Position Requirements:

Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
