ABOUT THE ROLE

Partner with Account Executives as the technical lead across full-cycle enterprise sales, owning the technical win from first conversation through signed agreement and expansion. Run compelling demos and technical presentations tailored to both business and technical buyers — CTOs, Chief Product Officers, heads of search and personalization, and the engineering and ML teams that evaluate us. Design and drive proof-of-value motions — pilots, A/B tests, and technical evaluations — that translate Sequen's ranking performance into quantified revenue and margin lift. Serve as the technical authority in eight-figure sales cycles, navigating technical evaluation teams, security reviews, and architecture discussions alongside procurement and legal work streams. Scope customer environments, map Sequen's Rank/Build/Run architecture and RRI to each customer's surfaces and KPIs, and craft the technical narrative that arms champions to sell internally. Partner with AEs to build rigorous, procurement-ready business cases. Act as the connective tissue between the field and product, ML, and forward deployed engineering. Help write the playbook: our demo motion, POC frameworks, and technical sales collateral are still being built, and you'll hold the pen.

ABOUT YOU

8+ years of pre-sales / sales engineering / solutions engineering experience supporting enterprise software sales cycles. Strong customer-facing communication skills. Have supported technical products — infrastructure, ML/AI, data platforms, search/personalization. Have run demos, built POCs, and driven technical evaluations that closed seven- and eight-figure deals. A natural partner to AEs, owning the technical win end to end. Genuine business acumen. Know how to identify, develop, and arm technical champions. Communicate with equal fluency to a CPO and a staff engineer. A builder who wants to shape frameworks, not just run them. Full ownership and comfort navigating ambiguity. Thrive in fast-paced, early-stage or hypergrowth environments. Bachelor's degree or comparable experience, ideally in a technical field.

Strong Candidates May Also

Have supported sales into retail, e-commerce, marketplaces, or travel verticals. Hands-on experience with recommendation, ranking, search, or personalization systems. Comfortable with SQL, Python, or working directly with APIs and data pipelines. Have run pilots or proof-of-value motions with usage-based, value-based, or lift-share commercial models. Worked alongside forward deployed engineering or professional services teams.
