Field Sales Manager
Tampere, Finland
Team description
SumUp's field sales team in Tampere works directly with local shops, cafés and service businesses, helping them find payment solutions that fit how they actually operate. As Field Sales Manager, you'll build this team from scratch and shape how SumUp grows across one of its key Finnish territories, leading from the field alongside your team rather than from behind a desk. It's a role for someone who wants genuine ownership over how a team and a market take shape, and who's driven by turning strong groundwork into measurable results.
What you'll do
Lead, coach and develop a team of field sales representatives across the territory
Work alongside the team in the field, joining client meetings and supporting the sales process
Own the team's sales targets, performance and overall results
Spot new business opportunities and adapt the sales strategy to the local market
Build and grow the team by partnering with Recruiting and Sales Coaching
You'll be great for this role if…
Experience managing and developing a sales team, with a hands-on, close-to-the-ground leadership style
Strong knowledge of field sales and what it takes to win new business through active prospecting
Ability to lead by example, building trust by working alongside the team rather than from a distance
Comfort using sales data and results to guide decisions and sharpen performance
Fluency in Finnish & English, along with ease working independently in a fast-moving environment
