Position Summary

Join our FP&A team and help the business make informed commercial decisions through clear financial insight and analysis. As a Finance Analyst, you'll contribute to forecasting, budgeting, performance reporting and business analysis, enabling stakeholders to understand trends, identify opportunities and make data-driven decisions.

Work Pattern: This role is based in our modern Manchester office and requires attendance four days per week. Regular on-site working is essential, as the role involves close collaboration with stakeholders and the wider finance team.

What You'll Do

· Contribute to the preparation and ongoing development of budgets, forecasts and long range planning.

· Analyse actual and forecast costs, revenue, and profitability, identifying key variances, trends and business drivers.

· Assist with monthly P&L reviews, providing meaningful analysis and commentary to Finance and business stakeholders.

· Prepare accurate and timely financial, operational and KPI reporting, highlighting risks, opportunities and areas for focus.

· Produce management packs, dashboards and materials that inform decision-making.

· Maintain planning assumptions, financial models and related documentation to a high standard.

· Partner with budget owners and stakeholders across the business to gather, validate and interpret financial information.

· Deliver ad hoc analysis and projects, balancing priorities and meeting agreed deadlines.

· Help drive continuous improvement across FP&A processes, systems, reporting and controls.

· Uphold data quality, governance and confidentiality when handling commercially sensitive information.

What You'll Bring

· A genuine interest in building a career in FP&A and commercial finance.

· Strong Excel skills and confidence using PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office applications.

· Experience using AI tools to improve efficiency, analysis or workflow effectiveness.

· The ability to interpret data, identify key insights and communicate findings clearly.

· Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

· A collaborative approach, clear communication and the confidence to build effective working relationships.

· Integrity, accountability and sound judgement when handling sensitive information.

· Commercial curiosity, a problem-solving mindset and a commitment to learning and improvement.

Qualifications

· A degree or equivalent experience, with strong analytical and numerical capability.

Bonus points for:

· Studying towards a recognised finance qualification such as CIMA/ACCA.

· Previous experience gained through an internship, placement year, graduate programme or junior finance role.

· Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, KPI reporting or P&L analysis.

· Experience working with Oracle, Hyperion or Tableau.
