Better begins here

Crown Resorts is a great place to visit and it’s an even better place to work, a place where you can play your part in creating fun, memorable, world-class experiences for our guests and our people. We value passion, optimism, and an appetite for change - for the better. Here, you’ll be part of the team, empowered to explore more, experience more and supported by your leader to grow and develop.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our Development & Project Management team in Melbourne, providing Group-wide financial oversight across Crown Melbourne, Crown Perth and Crown Sydney. Working closely with the Senior Managers, you’ll own the financial systems, accounting controls, capital funding administration and reporting that support the delivery of Crown’s development and capital works portfolio. You’ll also act as a key financial liaison between DPM, Corporate Finance and Group Treasury, ensuring approved project funding is released efficiently and financial reporting remains accurate, controlled and aligned across the business.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage the financial systems and accounting framework supporting DPM, including cost code structures, approval workflows, system configuration and financial data across PeopleSoft Financials and Vista.
  • Coordinate capital funding administration following CER approval, working with Corporate Finance and Group Treasury to facilitate the timely release and drawdown of approved project funds.
  • Own portfolio-level financial reporting and capital works cashflow modelling, ensuring accurate reporting of approved budgets, commitments, forecasts, actual expenditure and funding positions.
  • Maintain financial integrity between DPM and Corporate Finance, reconciling financial positions, investigating discrepancies and resolving issues ahead of management and corporate reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement of financial processes and controls, developing templates, procedures and system controls while supporting the resolution of internal audit findings.
  • Partner with Project Delivery, Commercial, Corporate Finance and Treasury stakeholders to provide financial analysis, reporting and funding support across Crown’s capital works portfolio.

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in a finance, accounting or funding administration role within a capital works, construction, property development or similarly project-based environment.
  • Strong experience managing financial systems, accounting controls, project cost structures, approval workflows and financial reporting within a complex organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience with capital expenditure and funding processes, including budget approvals, funding drawdowns, cashflow forecasting and reconciliation of project expenditure.
  • Advanced financial modelling, analysis and reporting capability, with the ability to interpret variances across approved budgets, commitments, forecasts and actual expenditure.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience partnering across Finance, Treasury, Commercial, Project Delivery and senior management functions.
  • A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, Business or a related discipline, with CA or CPA qualification, or progress towards qualification, highly regarded.
