Amazon Devices & Services (DaS) Finance is looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Brazil Device Finance team in São Paulo. This role has a Sales and Marketing Finance focus but covers a broad scope of finance activities — accounting reconciliations, logistics tracking, Brazilian tax treatment, and intercompany flows.
You will partner with the Brazil Finance Manager to keep these processes running accurately and on time, while identifying opportunities to automate and simplify them. This is not a standard reporting role — we're looking for someone who can own the transactional baseline today and systematically reduce it over time. The automation and process improvements you build for Brazil can be showcased and scaled to other international finance teams across the organization.
- Key job responsibilities
- Perform monthly accounting reconciliations between Amazon's records and the third-party importer, resolving discrepancies in logistics, pricing, and inventory data
- Support the monthly financial close process for Brazil, including journal entries, intercompany reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Track and reconcile logistics and shipment data with external partners and Amazon's internal systems
- Support tax-related financial processes specific to Brazil's regulatory environment
- Build and maintain reports and dashboards that give the business team visibility into financial performance, cost drivers, and margin trends
- Identify repetitive, manual workflows in the Brazil finance process and develop automation solutions (e.g., using Excel macros, SQL, Python, or internal Amazon tools) to reduce cycle time and error rates
- Showcase and scale successful automation and process improvements to other international finance teams
- Assist with planning, forecasting, and budgeting cycles for the Brazil Devices business
- Partner with the Brazil Finance Manager, worldwide accounting and finance teams, and the broader business leadership team to provide accurate, timely financial data that supports strategic decision-making
- A day in the life
- You will work closely with the Brazil Finance Manager in São Paulo, acting as the finance team's execution backbone for the Brazilian marketplace. On any given day, you might be reconciling data with external partners, preparing close entries, resolving a logistics discrepancy, or building a script that automates a recurring reconciliation. You'll interact with cross-functional teams — supply chain, accounting, tax, and the local business leadership — as well as worldwide accounting and finance stakeholders, and see firsthand how finance enables a complex international operation. Over time, you'll take on more ownership of the automation roadmap, progressively reducing manual work across the Brazil finance processes.
