What you’ll be doing:

Consumer Financial Crime Optimisation & Strategy is responsible for delivering strategic, regulatory and operational change that strengthens financial crime controls, improves customer outcomes and enables colleagues to operate more effectively.

We're recruiting multiple Financial Crime Optimisation Delivery Managers to support an expanding portfolio of optimisation initiatives across Consumer Financial Crime. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of meaningful change that reduces financial crime risk, improves operational effectiveness and delivers measurable business benefits.

Working closely with operational teams, platform partners, technology teams and senior collaborators, you'll ensure change is safely designed, effectively implemented and successfully adopted into operational teams. Alongside strong project management capability, a solid understanding of Financial Crime operations, controls and risk management is essential to enable effective challenge, informed decision-making and successful delivery.

Day to day you'll:

Lead the delivery of multiple concurrent change initiatives across Consumer Financial Crime, from mobilisation through to implementation and transition into business as usual.

Develop and manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, budgets, resources and integrated delivery roadmaps.

Manage project governance, risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies, ensuring delivery aligns with agreed frameworks and standards.

Coordinate delivery across operational, business, platform and technology teams, driving decisions, resolving issues and handling partner concerns.

Lead project meetings, working groups and forums, providing clear status reporting and executive updates.

Ensure operational impacts, implementation readiness and go-live activities are effectively planned and managed.

Track benefits and delivery outcomes, while supporting continuous improvement across delivery methodologies, governance and controls.

Why join us?

We’re on an exciting journey to transform our Group and the way we’re shaping finance for good. We’re focusing on the future, investing in our technologies, workplaces, and colleagues to make our Group a great place for everyone.

What we’re looking for?

  • End-to-end project delivery
  • Strong experience leading complex projects from initiation and planning through to implementation and benefits realisation.
  • Project planning & control
  • Experience managing delivery plans, governance, stage gates, risks, issues and dependencies, with a clear focus on achieving successful outcomes.
  • Stakeholder & delivery leadership
  • Confident building relationships, influencing at a senior level and bringing cross-functional teams and delivery partners together around shared outcomes.
  • Financial Crime knowledge
  • Experience within Financial Crime, Fraud, AML, KYC, Sanctions, Economic Crime or Risk, with a good understanding of operational processes, controls and regulatory expectations.
  • Change impact & problem-solving
  • Able to assess operational, customer, risk and control impacts, solve complex delivery challenges and make sound decisions as change progresses.
  • Communication & delivery focus
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with experience balancing contending priorities and providing clear, insightful updates to senior audiences within a regulated environment.

And any experience of these would be really useful:

  • Financial Crime transformation
  • Experience delivering change across areas such as Transaction Monitoring, Sanctions, Customer Due Diligence, Investigations or Fraud operations.
  • Technology-enabled change
  • Experience delivering technology-enabled change and working collaboratively with platform, engineering or technology teams.
  • Business readiness & implementation
  • Experience supporting operational readiness, implementation or business change to embed new processes, technology or ways of working.
  • Continuous improvement
  • Experience in process improvement, optimisation or process consultancy, with knowledge of approaches such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Professional project development
  • Relevant project or change management development or qualifications, such as PRINCE2, APM PMQ or Agile Practitioner.
