Advise CFOs, private equity sponsors, corporate development teams, investment professionals, and executive leadership on transaction-related financial risks, valuation considerations, quality of earnings, working capital, debt and debt-like items, and deal execution.

Lead a portfolio of client relationships and multidisciplinary engagement teams delivering financial due diligence, transaction advisory, carve-out, and transaction support services.

Provide senior technical oversight on U.S. GAAP, transaction accounting issues, financial reporting considerations, and complex deal structures, including reviewing and challenging significant analyses and conclusions.

Oversee engagement strategy, scoping, quality assurance, staffing, project economics, risk management, and client satisfaction across the client portfolio.

Originate new business and expand existing client relationships through strategic account management, referral networks, proposal leadership, networking, thought leadership, and market development.

Partner with leaders across CFGI’s practice areas to identify cross-selling opportunities and deliver integrated solutions throughout the transaction lifecycle.

Coordinate directly with client executives, investment bankers, legal counsel, lenders, auditors, and third-party advisors on significant transaction matters.

Help shape practice strategy, market priorities, service offerings, and scalable delivery models that strengthen engagement quality, efficiency, and growth.

Recruit, mentor, and develop Directors, Senior Managers, Managers, and Consultants while strengthening the practice’s technical capabilities, leadership pipeline, and succession planning.

Contribute to methodology development, financial analysis tools, automation initiatives, internal training, and thought leadership that advance CFGI’s Transaction Advisory Services capabilities.

What you must have:

12+ years of professional experience in public accounting, transaction advisory, consulting, corporate finance, accounting, or a related finance environment.

Prior financial due diligence experience, including meaningful experience leading financial due diligence engagements and evaluating transaction-related financial matters.

What sets you apart:

Experience serving as a senior relationship owner and trusted advisor to executive leadership, private equity sponsors, and strategic buyers on transaction-related accounting issues, financial risks, valuation considerations, and deal execution.

Demonstrated success originating new business, expanding existing client relationships, developing referral networks, and contributing directly to revenue growth.

Experience overseeing a portfolio of engagements, including responsibility for staffing, engagement economics, technical quality, risk management, and client delivery.

Experience applying U.S. GAAP through transaction advisory, audit engagements, financial reporting, or technical accounting projects.

Experience reviewing and delivering executive-level due diligence reports, client presentations, and transaction recommendations.

Experience developing Directors, Senior Managers, and other senior professionals through coaching, performance management, technical development, and client leadership opportunities.

Experience contributing to practice strategy, market development, methodologies, training, thought leadership, or scalable delivery initiatives.

Experience with a Big 4, national accounting firm, or specialized transaction advisory practice serving private equity and strategic clients.

Who thrives here:

Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence executive stakeholders and guide strategic decisions.

Proactive in identifying client needs and developing long-term trusted advisor relationships.

Highly organized with the ability to oversee a client portfolio and balance engagement delivery, business development, and practice leadership.
