Financial Planning Analyst Internship

Cerity Partners is looking for Summer 2027 Interns to join our Financial Planning team, part of our Central Solutions team. As a Financial Planning intern, you will work directly alongside our Chief Planning Officer and other members of the Financial Planning team, gaining hands-on exposure to comprehensive financial planning, client relationship management, and the tools and processes advisors use to help clients reach their financial goals.

This is a paid, full-time internship (40 hours per week) that offers practical experience in a professional setting. It's a strong opportunity for students seeking direct insight into the financial planning and wealth management industry at one of the fastest-growing registered investment advisory firms in the country.

Primary Responsibilities:

• •Support the Chief Planning Officer and Central Solutions Strategy team on day-to-day business operations and special projects.
• •Assist with the evaluation and firmwide adoption of financial planning, cash flow, and estate planning technology platforms.
• •Partner with our Practice Development Officers to translate planning best practices into resources that improve outcomes for clients.
• •Contribute to firmwide planning strategy initiatives, such as client segmentation, competitive benchmarking, and KPI reporting.
• •Help prepare planning materials, cash flow analyses, and presentations used in advisor and client conversations.
• •Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• •Pursuing an undergraduate degree with a strong academic record; Business or Finance majors preferred but not required.
• •Strong interest in finance, financial planning, and wealth management.
• •Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
• •Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel-based financial modeling and cash flow analysis.
• •Experience with financial planning, tax planning, or estate planning software considered a plus.
• •Comfort learning new technology platforms, including AI-enabled tools, considered a plus.
• •Ability to work both independently in a fast-paced environment and collaboratively within a team.
• •Strong presentation and communication skills.
• •Confidentiality and professional integrity of the highest order.
