Job Summary:

The Financial Reporting Manager will be responsible for the preparation and analysis of US GAAP and SEC compliant financial statements for Priority Power while working with the Finance team (Accounting, Tax, FP&A, and Treasury) on a variety of accounting, management reporting, tax and lender compliance projects. The Financial Reporting Manager will drive a high compliance environment and directly oversees timely and accurate financial reporting.

Job Responsibilities:

Financial reporting leadership

• •Prepare multi-entity financial statements including balance sheet, income statement, statement of changes in equity, and statement of cash flows, monthly
• •Consolidate financial statements and eliminate intercompany transactions
• •Prepared all footnote disclosures to the consolidated financial statements
• •Perform monthly and quarterly variance analyses and ad-hoc analytical procedures
• •Ensure accuracy of financial statements, following US GAAP and company’s policies
• •Lead miscellaneous reporting and filing activities
• •Prepare presentations for the VP of Finance, Director of FP&A, Business Unit Heads, and other levels of management as required

Technical accounting business development support

• •Perform frequent and complex technical accounting research, particularly around revenue recognition (ASC 606), leases (ASC 842), business combination (ASC 805), fair value accounting (ASC 820), and consolidation (VOE and VIE models – ASC 810)
• •Support the M&A team with due diligence, allocation of purchase consideration, opening balance sheet, and fair value analysis

Financial close support

Support the month-end close process by preparing and analyzing complex accruals and accounting estimates related to infrastructure project revenue recognition, lease accounting, sales commissions, capitalized interest, and derivative accounting

Financial audit support

• •Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, coordinating audit requests and facilitating timely resolution of audit matters
• •Present complex accounting analyses to management and auditors

Other cross functional support

• •Support the Tax team with the preparation of several schedules and reconciliations to drive compliance with indirect and direct taxes
• •Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
• •Lead changes to the accounting technology environment, including IT tools implementation
• •Drive compliance around all accounting procedures and internal controls

Requirements

• •3+ years of Big 4 public accounting plus industry work experience in financial/SEC reporting
• •Experience with technical accounting and consolidation
• •CPA, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent
• •Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• •Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills
• •Working ERP knowledge and advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint)
• •Meticulous attention to detail
• •Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• •Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Job Skills & Qualifications

• •Operational accounting and financial reporting experience in the construction or power & utilities industries
• •Systems experience : Cloud ERP (NetSuite, Oracle, etc.), Cloud EPM/CPM/Consolidation system (OneStream), Financial reporting (WDesk by Workiva)
