Job Description

If you enjoy solving problems, improving systems, and making data work smarter — this role is for you. CSCI Consulting is seeking a detail-oriented professional to help manage, support, and enhance a Department of Defense financial system, while providing hands-on support and training to users across the organization. You’ll play a key role in ensuring financial data remains accurate, reliable, and meaningful — driving better decisions and mission success.

Responsibilities

Provide ongoing support for the organization’s enterprise financial systems (GFEBS/SAP-ERP)

Review and correct data issues to ensure financial accuracy and consistency

Develop and update easy-to-follow training materials and user guides

Provide one-on-one and group training sessions to help staff use financial tools effectively

Track and communicate system issues, updates, and resolutions with leadership and project teams

Monitor key financial reports and performance indicators to identify and resolve recurring problems

Support fiscal year close-out activities and assist with the preparation of new-year financial reporting

Manage system access requests, ensuring users have proper permissions and required training

Support regular system maintenance and data validation to maintain accurate and reliable financial information

Minimum Requirements

Active SECRET security clearance

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 8+ years of relevant experience

5+ years of experience supporting financial systems or accounting processes within the DoD or another government organization

Experience with SAP-based systems (GFEBS/SAP-ERP preferred)

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data lookups), Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Excellent communication skills — able to explain technical details clearly to non-technical audiences

Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities

Team-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently when needed

Preferred Skills

Experience working with Special Operations Forces (SOF) or SOCOM organizations

Background in financial data analysis, training, or customer support

Proficiency with Power BI, Power Query, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (data modeling, visualization, and automation)

Familiarity with government financial systems and documentation

Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders

Commitment to learning new technologies and improving business processes

Department of Defense experience is a plus
