Position Summary
Baton Rouge Country Club is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Part-Time Housekeeper to join our Fitness Center team. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for members and guests. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has a strong attention to detail, and can work both independently and collaboratively to ensure the facility is maintained to the highest standards.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the Fitness and Tennis Center to ensure a pristine appearance.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and sanitize floors throughout the facility.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, locker rooms, showers, and other high-touch areas.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the men's and women's locker rooms.
- Restock locker room amenities, toiletries, paper products, and cleaning supplies as needed.
- Empty trash and recycling receptacles throughout the facility.
- Clean windows, mirrors, glass surfaces, and interior/exterior furniture.
- Ensure all public areas remain clean, orderly, and member-ready throughout each shift.
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or supply shortages promptly to management.
- Follow all cleaning procedures and safety guidelines while using cleaning products and equipment.
- Assist with additional housekeeping duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
- Reliable, dependable, and punctual with a positive attitude.
- Ability to communicate effectively with management and coworkers.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to push and pull cleaning carts and equipment.
- Comfortable performing repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
Schedule
- Part-time
- Evening and weekend availability is required.
