FLEET DRIVER

Description

A Fleet Driver picks-up and delivers customers for the dealership.

Report to work within acceptable time frames and company standards. Maintain appropriate degree of professionalism towards customers and coworkers.

Requirements

Specific Job-Related Duties and Responsibilities

• •Operate all vehicles in a safe manner and in compliance with all applicable company policy and procedures and traffic laws and regulations
• •Observe rules of the road and demonstrate courtesy and defensive driving techniques
• •Evaluate and coordinate logistics of shuttle runs efficiently to maximize time
• •Assist customers getting in and out of shuttle; maintain polite conversations with customers while they are using the courtesy shuttle
• •Update status of runs and provide other pertinent information
• •Notify Service Manager of any issues with shuttle, including when maintenance is due
• •Report any accidents or damage immediately
• •Maintain the cleanliness of shuttle by keeping a schedule for detailing

Qualifications

• •Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required
• •Ability to drive vehicles with manual or automatic transmission
• •Positive attitude and professional appearance
• •Focused, dependable, honest and trustworthy
• •Familiar and comfortable navigating in an area 15 miles around the dealership
• •Current, valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)

Working Conditions

The employee will work indoors and outdoors in an auto shop environment.
