the posting

Join Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) Mexico and help build our growing trailer fleet from the ground up. As a Fleet Operations Manager, you will own the daily tactical execution of Amazon's trailer fleet during a pivotal scaling phase; directly shaping fleet utilization, availability, cost-to-serve, and carrier performance. You will be the single point of contact for fleet operations: asset assignment, yard control, inspections, preventive maintenance, carrier coordination, and incident response. Working cross-functionally with First and Middle Mile site teams, Finance, and carrier partners, you will keep the fleet running reliably today while laying the operational foundation for the sites and regions we expand into tomorrow. This is a high-visibility, hands-on role where your execution and the data behind it inform decisions made at the most senior levels. This is your chance to help build and shape the future of our trailer fleet program from its earliest, most defining stage.

  • Key job responsibilities
  • - Own the weekly trailer assignment across sites and drive intra-week reassignments as demand shifts; making the calls that keep the network balanced under pressure.
  • - Run daily yard status reviews, classify fleet availability, and orchestrate relocations to maximize how hard every trailer works.
  • - Lead daily performance syncs with the carrier partner operating the fleet, setting the priorities and relocations for the day.
  • - Be the first responder for operational incidents and resolving within a increasing service level or escalating with a structured, decision-ready proposal.
  • - Coordinate pre-trip and post-trip inspections and drive preventive maintenance compliance to protect fleet uptime.
  • - Manage repair tickets end-to-end, tracking out-of-service units and return-to-service dates to minimize downtime.
  • - Build the daily operational reporting and clean datasets that leadership trusts to make scaling decisions.
  • - Design and tighten standard operating procedures for check-in/check-out and incident handling as the fleet grows into new sites and regions.
  • A day in the life
  • Your morning starts at the yard, one glance tells you which trailers are ready, which are stuck, and where the day's risks are hiding. You act before small problems become expensive ones. When a breakdown hits, the clock starts and you own it: coordinate the repair, keep the sites moving, resolve it fast. The rest of your day, you turn messy operations into the clear signals leaders trust to decide where we grow next. Every trailer you unblock sharpens how this fleet scales; from the sites we run today to the regions we're about to open. You help forge what comes next.
  • About the team
  • Amazon Transportation Services (ATS), a high-powered, dynamic team shaping middle-mile transportation execution and developing innovative concepts to enhance the ATS Network, now building and scaling Amazon's own trailer fleet in Mexico to drive the best customer experience, reliably and cost-efficiently, every time.
