Job Opening: Fleet Vehicle Mechanic

Location: Sheridan, WY

Shift Hours: 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday (with occasional Saturday work required)

Employment Type: Hourly for first 90 days, transitioning to flat rate ( $25 to $38+ DOE )

Requirements:

• •GED
• •Valid Driver’s License
• •Proven experience as a mechanic
• •Self-motivated and accountable

Responsibilities:

• •Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to determine vehicle/equipment condition.
• •Complete preventive maintenance schedules and inspections to keep equipment available for use.
• •Correct vehicle deficiencies by repairing or replacing various components and systems.
• •Conduct test drives to verify vehicle performance, adjusting controls and systems as necessary.
• •Comply with federal and state vehicle requirements.
• •Keep detailed records of services and repairs.
• •Manage shop equipment, including troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• •Control costs by utilizing warranties and evaluating service/part options.
• •Maintain inventory of supplies and parts.
• •Provide excellent customer service, including effective communication with clients regarding their vehicles.
• •Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
• •Be prepared for field inspections and repairs in various weather conditions.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and skilled mechanic who is self-motivated, accountable, and possesses strong customer service skills. The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently and as part of a team and have experience with a diverse fleet of vehicles, including gas and diesel-powered, and medium-duty diesel vehicles.
