LabCorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in the Norman, OK area (73069)

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday hours will vary based on coverage needs between 6:00am to 6:00pm (overtime and rotating weekends may be required as needed)

Job Responsibilities:

• •Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• •Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• •Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• •Process billing information and collect payments when required
• •Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• •Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• •Provide superior customer service to all patients
• •Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• •Travel to client and PSC locations.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• •2 or more years' phlebotomy experience working in a clinical / hospital environment
• •1 or more years' experience assisting all patient age groups (pediatric - geriatric)
• •Current or prior LabCorp experience

Additional Job Standards:

• •Will primarily cover sites in Norman / Oklahoma City, OK and surrounding areas. (On occasion may be requested to cover sites in rural OK approximately 100+ miles )
• •Ability to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment
• •Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• •Be 21 years of age or older
• •Have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
• •Reliable transportation needed
• •Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• •Exceptional customer service
• •Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• •Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• •Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics
