The Food Runner supports the restaurant team by delivering food orders promptly and accurately, maintaining cleanliness and organization of service areas, and ensuring a smooth and efficient dining experience for guests.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title : Food Runner

Department: Food & Beverage

Supervision Exercised: None

Supervision Received: Restaurant Supervisor / Food & Beverage Supervisor / F&B Manager

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience

• •Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred.
• •Experience in a fast-paced dining environment a plus.

Skills and Knowledge

• •Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• •Ability to multitask and work efficiently during high-volume service periods.
• •Ability to carry trays and deliver food safely and professionally.
• •Strong attention to detail and order accuracy.
• •Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 30–40 lbs. for extended periods.
• •Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• •Deliver food orders to guests quickly, accurately, and professionally.
• •Ensure dishes are delivered at the correct temperature and presentation.
• •Communicate with kitchen staff and servers to maintain smooth service flow.
• •Assist servers by clearing plates, refilling beverages, and resetting tables as needed.
• •Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expo line, service stations, and dining areas.
• •Help prepare garnishes, sauces, or condiments for service when needed.
• •Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• •Assist with opening, running, and closing side duties.
• •Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
