Title: Food Runner

Status: Full-time

Reports to: F&B manager

Pay Range: $14 per hour

A Food Runner is responsible for delivering prepared food from the kitchen to guests quickly and accurately while supporting servers and maintaining a clean, organized dining area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver food orders from the kitchen to the correct tables promptly.
  • Verify that each order is complete, accurate, and properly presented before leaving the kitchen.
  • Communicate with servers, kitchen staff, and management regarding special requests or missing items.
  • Assist servers with clearing, resetting, and maintaining tables as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of food service areas.
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and restaurant procedures.
  • Help restock plates, utensils, condiments, and other service supplies.
  • Provide friendly and professional service to guests when delivering food.
  • Assist with other restaurant duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous restaurant or customer-service experience is helpful but not always required.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and safely carry food trays or plates.
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently standing and walking throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift and carry trays, plates, and supplies.
  • Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced kitchen and dining environment.
