  • ABOUT THE ROLE:
  • The Footwear Commercialization & Quality Specialist supports the successful transition of footwear from Development through Commercialization and Production. This role independently manages assigned footwear divisions and evaluates product against approved standards for fit, construction, workmanship, materials, specifications, quality, and overall production execution. Serving as a key connection point between Product Development and Production, this role partners with cross-functional and global teams to identify product risks, communicate clear feedback, support timely resolution of issues, and help ensure production reflects approved product intent. The ideal candidate brings hands-on footwear industry experience, strong product judgment, and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities while working collaboratively across domestic and international teams.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Independently manage Commercialization and Production reviews for assigned footwear divisions while meeting established timelines and quality expectations.
  • Evaluate footwear for fit, construction, workmanship, materials, specifications, functionality, and overall execution against approved product standards.
  • Review Commercialization samples, First Pairs, Production Cases, and New Factory Cases to validate product readiness and production consistency.
  • Identify fit, quality, construction, and production risks; provide clear recommendations and escalate significant concerns when appropriate.
  • Partner with Product Development, Quality Assurance, Production, Product teams, Asia teams, and global factory partners to resolve product issues and support timely decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate and timely product decisions, status, and supporting documentation within PLM and established tracking systems.
  • Manage workload and priorities independently, proactively communicating risks that may impact timing, quality, or execution.
  • Support fit sessions, product reviews, and Production activities as required.
  • Monitor recurring product or factory issues and contribute observations and recommendations that improve product quality and execution.
  • Participate in cross-functional problem solving, root-cause analysis, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to standardized processes and best practices that improve efficiency, communication, systems, and quality across the Commercialization & Production organization.
  • Share technical knowledge and best practices with less experienced team members as needed.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in footwear development, commercialization, product engineering, manufacturing, production, technical development, quality assurance, or a related footwear function.
  • Working knowledge of footwear construction, materials, fit, manufacturing processes, and product quality standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate footwear samples and identify product, fit, construction, workmanship, or production concerns.
  • Ability to interpret product specifications and compare production execution against approved standards.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify risk and recommend practical solutions.
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple products and competing priorities.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional and global partners.
  • Ability to work independently within established processes and exercise sound product judgment when escalating concerns.
  • Experience with PLM systems and Microsoft Office applications preferred.
  • Experience collaborating with Asia-based development, manufacturing, or factory teams preferred.

The pay range for this position is $80,000-$95,000/yr USD.
