Forklift/Lull Operator

Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is seeking skilled Forklift Operators to join our manufacturing shop.

Schedule: 6:00am-4:30pm with OT as necessary

Responsibilities:

• •Operate a forklift to safely and efficiently transport materials, components, and finished products within the manufacturing facility.
• •Load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, racks, or shelves, ensuring proper placement and securing of loads to prevent damage or accidents.
• •Follow safety procedures and regulations at all times, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and conducting pre-operational checks on the forklift.
• •Inspect forklift and related equipment for any defects or malfunctions before each use and report any issues to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
• •Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate activities, communicate any issues or concerns, and ensure timely delivery of materials to designated areas.
• •Participate in training programs to improve skills and knowledge related to forklift operation, safety procedures, and company policies.
• •Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management to support the overall goals and objectives of the company.

Education Requirements/Qualifications:

• •Reading and speaking proficiency in either English or Spanish required
• •Minimum of a high school education or equivalent.
• •Minimum of 3 years of experience operating forklifts with a 10,000lb+ lifting capacity, specifically for long and heavy steel products.
• •Valid forklift operator certification or license.
• •Proven experience as a forklift driver in a manufacturing or construction environment.
• •Strong understanding of forklift operation and safety procedures.
• •Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• •Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
• •Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
• •Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• •Attention to detail and accuracy in load handling and placement.
