General Expectations :

Forklift operators are responsible for operating and managing industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas and work centers.

Duties /Responsibilities :

• •Coordinates with Shipping/Receiving Area Coordinator and Materials Manager
• •Loading, unloading of materials
• •Maintains quality expectation of documentation and reports accordingly
• •Transports raw material to production workers
• •Maintains daily logs and report shortages
• •Inspect equipment
• •Performs other duties as required by management

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Required :

• •Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with team.
• •Attention to detail.
• •General building material knowledge.
• •Ability to read and write effectively all job-related functions.
• •Knowledge of basic mathematics.
• •Must be able to assist in maintaining lumber/rafter yard and sheds with proper housekeeping skills.
• •Must have a minimum of 1 year of continuous experience of forklift operation.
• •Must have good organizational skills.
• •Must have patience and work well under pressure
• •Must be flexible with working hours and duties.
• •Demonstrates honesty and integrity. Has a strong work ethic.
• •Displays a great attitude and models teamwork, assisting other forklift operators in every department.

Education & Qualifications:

• •Preferred forklift experience.
• •Able to pass forklift operator’s driving assessment.
• •Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and on occasion up to 80 pounds.
• •High School Diploma or General Education Degree.
• •100% of work to be performed in an outdoor environment subject weather, noise, and dust.
• •This position is crucial to the efficient operation of the facility. Applicant must understand the challenge to replace a forklift operator when absent.
