About the Role

Join a small, early-stage consumer apps team as a founding design engineer. You will take product ideas from sketch through implementation and release, helping shape the full mobile app experience.

What You'll Do

Build mobile features from initial sketches through app store release.

Create polished, native-feeling screens with thoughtful motion and haptic feedback.

Develop product loops that encourage people to return to the app.

Use product data and user conversations to evaluate features and improve the experience.

Stay involved with the product after launch and refine what is not working.

What We're Looking For

Experience shipping mobile apps used by real people, with work that can be reviewed in an app store or similar setting.

Experience designing visual and interaction details and implementing the resulting product code.

Hands-on experience with Flutter, Swift, or Kotlin for mobile development.

Familiarity with Firebase and TypeScript.

Strong attention to detail, initiative in an open-ended environment, and the ability to use AI tools while understanding the code you ship.

On-site in Palo Alto, California, United States. Candidates must be based in Palo Alto or willing to relocate.
