The ideal candidate combines strong financial analysis and modeling capabilities with commercial curiosity and the ability to operate across licensing, retail, physical products, and direct-to-consumer business models. Develop financial assumptions in partnership with business owners, including unit volumes, pricing, royalty rates, product costs, distribution costs, returns, markdowns, and product release timing.
Support scenario planning and sensitivity analysis for new product launches, licensing arrangements, retail programs, and strategic investments.
Ensure forecasts appropriately reflect product seasonality, release schedules, customer ordering patterns, and inventory lead times.
Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages covering actual performance against budget, forecast, and prior year.
Produce clear variance analysis across revenue, gross profit, operating expenses, inventory, and contribution margin.
Work closely with Accounting to support accurate and timely monthly and quarterly closes.
Coordinate with Sony Pictures finance, sales, operations, and distribution stakeholders where responsibilities are shared across the companies.
