JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Freelance Long-Form Editor to join the Fox Nation Post-Production Team. As a Freelance Long-Form Editor, you will be part of a collaborative effort to craft highly creative, narratively compelling, and technically sound content across multiple platforms. As an exceptionally adaptable storyteller, you will build projects from start to finish—diving deep into raw footage, shaping engaging narratives, designing graphics, finishing audio, and delivering polished, broadcast-ready long-form programming.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• •Craft Compelling Narratives: Edit and deliver distinctive, stylized long-form programming across diverse genres, specifically focusing on News, Politics, True Crime, Lifestyle, and Sports.
• •Master the Flow: Work collaboratively with producers to build strong story arcs, ensuring an exceptional sense of pace and narrative rhythm throughout the show.
• •Design Dynamic Graphics: Conceptualize, create, and integrate engaging motion graphics and visual elements to elevate the storytelling and overall production value.
• •Elevate with Audio: Serve as a key creative voice by expertly selecting, placing, and pacing music to maximize emotional impact and drive the story forward.
• •Maintain Quality Control: Act as the "last line of defense" on all audio and video requirements to ensure pristine, broadcast-quality final deliverables with no technical mistakes.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• •5-10 Years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of skills and demonstrated experience.
• •A proven track record and deep understanding of the News, Politics, True Crime, Lifestyle, and Sports genres.
• •Extensive proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (specifically Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, After Effects, Audition, and Photoshop), including deep experience with collaborative production workflows in Premiere for multi-editor environments.
• •Strong motion graphics skills, with a demonstrated ability to create polished, high-quality show graphics and visual treatments using Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop.
• •An exceptional ear for picking and utilizing music, coupled with a masterful sense of pacing.
• •The ability to transform raw footage into captivating, dynamic long-form content that holds viewer attention from start to finish.
• •A sharp eye for detail and highly organized project management skills.
• •A creative, enthusiastic, and solution-oriented mindset.
• •Bonus: Experience editing and delivering long-form content for streaming platforms as well as proficiency with generative media creation tools (such as Adobe Firefly, or similar AI tools) is a plus.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $50.00-60.00 per hour.
