French Speaking Financial Accountant

French Speaking Financial Accountant Key Responsibilities:

• •Supervising members of staff (A/P clerk and Account Assistant-Management Accountant).
• •Making sure the management accounts are prepared timely and variances explained.
• •Approving bank transfers and liaising with banks when necessary.
• •Carry out weekly bank reconciliations for all accounts (including ad hoc bank transaction journals).
• •Prepare monthly fund requests.
• •Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis (payroll / tax acts…).
• •Assisting French Accountant in preparing CT returns and the annual statutory accounts.
• •Preparing of Annual budgets in line with departmental requirements.
• •Employees/supplier contracts: Keep updated contracts in file.
• •Payroll administration (liaising with Cabinet Denjean ref. monthly payslips + annual staff health insurance returns + update social security annual rates.
• •Responsible for the administration of French Companies; paying invoices, intercompany reconciliation, liaising with French Accountants in preparing the annual accounts.
• •Maintain confidentiality of financial information and ensure compliance with company policies and internal financial controls.

Knowledge and Skills:

• •Experience in a similar accounting or finance role: Experience in the French Chart of Accounts. (French GAAP)
• •Minimum education to A Level standard.
• •Currently pursuing ACCA/CIMA qualifications/ Qualified by Experience.
• •Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• •Strong numerical accuracy.
• •Ability to produce fiscal reports.
• •Familiarity with financial systems. (ex. Workday fins).
